When does an NHL Sniper's Production Decline?

To answer this question, we had to consider that every era is different, so we looked at select players in the recent past. And only included players who's careers were already concluded, or were already past their "prime".

The popular belief that player's production starts to decline at age 30, is backed-up by the data in this research; which shows a steady decline starts after age 29.

Of course there are outliers. Players such as Patrick Marleau had some better periods of scoring past his prime years. Navigate the interactive graph to select player(s) to view their career goals by age.
